1 The bonding fastness is not high, and the carton is degummed. Degumming refers to the cracking of the sticking mouth due to insufficient bonding fastness. The main reasons are summarized as follows:
(1) The viscosity of the adhesive is insufficient or the amount of glue applied is insufficient.
(2) The adhesive does not match the material of the carton.
(3) The sticking part of the carton has been surface-processed such as laminating and glazing. It is difficult for the adhesive to penetrate the surface and penetrate the paper, making the carton difficult to stick firmly.
(4) The pressure is not enough after folding and gluing, and the pressure time is not long enough, which is not conducive to sticking firm.
For the above problem of insufficient paste box caused by the adhesive, the adhesive that is compatible with the carton material should be selected, and the selection and use of the adhesive are also very particular.
First of all, it cannot be mistakenly assumed that the higher the viscosity of the adhesive, the better the box-gluing effect. With high viscosity, the strength of the adhesive will increase, and the wrinkle rate will increase accordingly. When the glue roller of the automatic box gluer is running at a high speed of 112 revolutions per minute, the recommended viscosity of the adhesive is 500 to 1000 cps.
Secondly, the adhesive has a strong bonding force. Because the instant pressure of the forming part of the automatic folder-gluer machine is not very large, and in the high-speed operation process of producing 30-40 cartons per minute, the pressure time is not long. The adhesive with strong binding force, even if it is light Pressure can also bond the carton firmly.
In addition, the ambient temperature of the paste box workshop will also have a certain impact on the adhesive. If the temperature in the box-gluing workshop is too low, the adhesive will solidify immediately, which will affect the fastness of the adhesion, even if the amount of glue applied is no longer effective. Of course, the smaller the amount of glue applied, the more sensitive it is to room temperature, so in winter, the temperature in the box-gluing workshop should be kept above 20°C, and air conditioning can be installed if conditions permit. In the box-gluing workshop, a large and easy-to-see thermometer is also installed to check and control the working environment at any time. For products with good paste, they should be dried at room temperature before leaving the factory. In winter, do not rush to deliver them before they are dry.
There are 4 ways to solve the problem of inadequate pasting of the carton that has been coated and polished: First, place a needle and thread knife at the sticky mouth during die-cutting to pierce the surface of the sticky mouth to facilitate the adhesive. Infiltration.
Second, use the edging device attached to the automatic box gluer to grind the surface of the sticky mouth to facilitate the penetration of the adhesive.
Third, spray hot melt adhesive to the glued part, and use high temperature to melt the substance on the glued surface to improve the fastness of the paste box.
Fourth, when the box-shaped design is carried out before printing, the glued part can be reserved in advance on the edge of the box sheet to be coated and polished.
For the phenomenon that the glue box is not strong due to insufficient pressure, you can increase the pressure of the pressing part of the box gluer to extend the pressing time, or replace the adhesive with strong adhesion.
2 There are three main reasons for carton deformation:
(1) Some die-cutting plates are made by hand, often because of low precision, the carton size is inconsistent, and the carton is deformed when gluing the box.
(2) The concentration of the adhesive is low and the water content is large, which causes the paperboard to absorb moisture and deform, and the paperboard is not flat after forming.
(3) The folder gluer itself is not well adjusted.
This problem can be solved as long as the die-cutting quality is stable, the appropriate concentration of adhesive is selected, and the box gluer is adjusted.
3 There are three main reasons for the skewed adhesion of the carton:
(1) The indentation groove of the indentation line is too wide and the indentation pressure is not enough, so that the extruded indentation line is not full, and the indentation line cannot be accurately folded during folding and gluing.
(2) Improper adjustment of the folding transmission, the conveying speed of the left and right sides of the box sheet is inconsistent, causing the sticky mouth to be skewed.
(3) The folding rod is not installed properly.
Solution: Reduce the width of the indentation groove of the indentation line and increase the indentation pressure; adjust the folding transmission to make the conveying speed of the left and right sides of the carton consistent; reinstall the folding lever.
4 Misalignment of the sticky mouth
Misalignment of the sticky mouth refers to the misalignment of the sticky mouth, and the misaligned carton cannot be formed well. This phenomenon is usually caused by the inaccurate adjustment of the machine. Furthermore, it is mainly because the operator's insufficient knowledge of the box type and the box-gluer has affected its operation level. Therefore, strengthening the training of operators, improving their operating skills and their understanding of complex box shapes can effectively avoid the problem of inaccurate alignment of the sticky mouth.
5 Sticky mouth overflow glue
Glue overflow refers to excess adhesive flowing out of the sticky mouth. This phenomenon is mainly caused by the dislocation of the sticky mouth and the excessive amount of adhesive. By grinding the sticky mouth and reducing the amount of glue can effectively reduce the occurrence of glue overflow.
